No estimate of when that would be though. The Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks At-One CZ 527 American Detachable Box Mag, Short Action, Factory Barrel Channel Rifle Stock was developed to function as the ideally suited product for anybody looking for an outstanding choice.
I am satisfied with the result, and they did give me the option to wait for more 7.62 x 39 rifles to come into stock. I already have a 6.5 Grendel AR so im not interested in a bolt gun in that caliber, they do make a Lux rifle but the barrel is 24" and I think that's kind of a diminishing return type of thing at that point.Īnyway, any comments are obviously always welcome. I have a lot of 223 so it's not a super hard choice. I wrote him back (its not too late to change if you think i'm wrong) and said to replace my rifle with a Carbine 527 in 556/223 instead. He also offered to let me pick any variant of the 527 and they would ship me a new gun. He offered to either put on a older version stock that would leave gaps, functionally fine but visually odd looking. He also said they didn't have any complete rifles in stock in 7.62 x 39.
They don't have any stocks that they can replace my broken one with. I think CZ bolt guns are top notch for the price. Some friend that went to pick up the 550 with me has a few as well, I think three right. I currently have four 527s, and I've owned three others that I've sold off. That action was really broken-in held the rifle muzzle up, pulled the bolt handle up and the bolt would just fall open. I picked it up to take a look, pretty much always do when I see a CZ bolt gun. Was at a shop last weekend I saw a used 527 in 7.62x39. I will say that my 527s aren't as smooth as my 550 that 550 is smooth as butter. That bolt was the same way new, just needed a little break-in. I suggest oiling it up, and just repeatedly work that action for a little while in front of the TV. CZ will take care of it I'm sure.Īs someone else said, that bolt will work in. Wood on the one I have isn't as nice, but it does shoot great and it's built like a tank.īottom line, things happen. They sent it back and I got another, which I still have.
We were all marveling, really great looking stock. They pulled it out, the wood was gorgeous. It arrived, a buddy and I drove up to the shop to pick it up. They make amazing guns and they look out for their customers.īack around 15-17 years ago I ordered a 550 American in. They really just have amazing customer service. He got his choice of those three and there would be no charge even though they cost more than a standard 75B.
CZ 527M STOCK CRACK REPLACE STOCK FOR FREE
They told him they were going to send a replacement gun for free rather than fix it and at the time didn't have any standard 75Bs and he could either wait for them to receive more or they could send him a brand new SP-01, 75B Stainless, or 97B. Instead CZ went out of their way and they sent me a brand new 527 Lux.Īlso heard from a guy who had some on his CZ-75 break and he sent it in to CZ. I sent it in and all I asked for was a rebarrel.
CZ 527M STOCK CRACK REPLACE STOCK SERIAL NUMBER
When I read off the serial number he said my gun shows as a 1:9" in their system and he sent me a pre-paid shipping label to send it in. I called up CZ and the guy on the phone was super helpful. The gun shop I ordered it from online wouldn't take it back and said that I received the correct gun even though they labeled it as a 1:9" twist on the website. I had a CZ 527 Lux that I ordered and it came with a 1:12" twist and not the 1:9" like it was supposed to. I'd put them up there with Ruger, honestly. That being said, CZ has excellent customer service. I've heard of issues with some CZ stocks cracking on the micro-Mauser actions.
